About the Founder

Sumedh Rishi is a dual-qualified attorney licensed in California and India. His practice focuses on intellectual property and civil litigation. He advises clients on trademark prosecution and enforcement.

Sumedh earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law and Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he excelled with Honors grades in Intellectual Property Law and Trademark Law Practice. During his time at Berkeley, he served as the LL.M. Representative for the Berkeley Journal of International Law, was an editor with the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, and received the Best Oral Presentation Award in Legal Research & Writing. He also earned Pro Bono Honors with Highest Distinction for completing over 96 hours of pro bono service.

He began his career in India, where he clerked at the Delhi High Court and advised government bodies, before transitioning to practice in the United States. He has represented clients before courts in both jurisdictions, drafted and argued motions, negotiated settlements, and handled cross-border trademark matters. In addition, he has independently argued a well-publicized Public Interest Litigation before the Delhi High Court during the COVID-19 pandemic and has advised leading consumer brands on trademark and employment compliance.

Sumedh is a member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Delhi High Court Bar Association, and Bar Association of the Supreme Court of India.
